Founded in 1957 from humble beginnings, Willoughby Theatre Company has a long and dynamic history in the arts life of Sydney. From presenting Australian premiere musicals such as Titanic, Zorba and the Scarlet Pimpernel, to the blockbusters such as The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Cats, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Grease, A Chorus Line and The Boy From Oz, Willoughby Theatre Company is the home of exceptional community theatre.
In September 2011, Willoughby Theatre Company launched a new and exciting stage in its development with the move into the Theatre on The Concourse at Chatswood. The inaugural production, The Boy From Oz, was overwhelmingly successful with a sold out season and brilliant reviews. We’ve backed up this success with stunning productions of Jekyll & Hyde, Sunset Boulevard, Les Misérables, 42nd Street, The Phantom of the Opera and Jesus Christ Superstar – now feeling right at home at The Concourse for our major productions.
The Company is passionate about high quality theatre and is committed to entertain and excite its audiences. The 2018 season will be one of the biggest in our history, and we can’t wait for you to join us for the ride!
